Now that the wedding season has calmed down slightly, I finally have time to sit down and reflect on a crazy few months. I have filmed weddings in all but 1 county in England, as well as regularly visiting my favourite venues across the Midlands including Curradine Barns, Pendrell Hall and Iscoyd Park.
I thought I’d start the blog by featuring some pictures of me at work, reviews from this years’ brides and some info on other recommended venues and suppliers, before I get around to blogging individual weddings in the coming weeks!
I’ve been a preferred supplier at Curradine Barns for a little over a year now, in fact I recently filmed their very own Wedding Coordinator’s wedding! I love the cosy yet modern feel of Curradine. The staff make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door and the food is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!
I regularly work alongside Darren Gair here and not only is he a fantastic photographer and a great guy but his work really compliments mine!
A few wonderful reviews from this summer:
Sophie (May 2016 at Curradine Barns):
Nicola was an absolute life saver for us! We had such a nightmare with our initial wedding videographer and with only 4 weeks until the wedding stress was higher than ever with having no/useless videographer. Nic came in and saved us from ourselves!! She made us so comfortable and we had the best time being around her. Our wedding film was handed over quicker than we anticipated and we cried at every second of watching it. We have showed it to every person who watch it! We are so proud and happy about how our wedding was portrayed and how much footage of everything she managed to get in there! We are still taken aback by how amazing everything was!! Thank you so much!!
Suzy (June 2016 at Stonehill House):
From the moment you first meet Nicola, you will realize why she is so special. She is totally passionate and loves her job very much. Her excitement brings your thoughts to life and she has a way of really understanding what it is you are looking for. On our actual wedding day, i felt like Nicola was part of the wedding party, like a friend. She did an amazing job at catching moments i didn’t even know she was watching. She worked tirelessly and was happy to muck in and be involved. I would rate Nicola as the best supplier at our wedding and would recommend her without a shadow of a doubt.
Gemma (July 2016 at Pendrell Hall):
Nicola is so professional and friendly. After loosing my nan a few months before getting married it suddenly became a priority to have our wedding filmed. Right from the beginning she was just amazing answering all my questions and putting my mind at ease. Like any bride you always worry about people not turning up! Nicola was in contact with us all the time, asking how we were and checking venue guidelines etc. Although we had never met Nicola before we felt like she took the time to get to know us before the wedding day. On the day of the wedding Nicola and her team arrived early and with huge similes on their faces. They were so discreet and non-invasive all through the day and many guests commented on how amazing they were. After the wedding Nicola remained in contact with us and within a few weeks we received our preview film which was lovely to share with our family and friends and got us all excited for the feature film. When the feature film arrived we were blown away. It was presented in a beautiful box with a personalised USB key. We can’t thank Nicola enough for all her hard work, she captured everything and more and she has given us memories that we can treasure for a life time! You truly are an amazing and talented lady. Highly recommend Nicola Joy wedding films!!!
